More work and lots to look at; April 13, 2012

A marina with free laundry!
  everything got washed !

Captain Matt improved the steering by attaching metal guides that move the engine along with the rudder.

Rope line coming from the rudder stock will move
the engine and rudder at the same time.

In preparation for a big festival,
this school teacher also does chain saw art.

Jolly Roger's carved from wood
Did you know that flags were an important signal in the 17th and 18th century?
Plain black flag was meant to frighten victims into surrendering if they didn't fight.
If you saw a red flag on a pirates ship and surrendered and wouldn't be slaughtered.....and of course you could trust a pirate!
The Jolly Roger flag with skull and cross-bones was alleged to be the toughest of pirates. To read more about pirates and see some crazy flags, click on this link.

Another thing to watch were boats being put in and taken out of the water. This one is on a fork lift.

They used big straps to put this boat in

No boat ramps around here
On the other side of the dock, these jet skiers were getting instructions. Going to the surrounding islands is big business here.

Nothing bothers the love birds :)
