Crooked Island, FL; May 5, 2012

This island should be called Dolphin Island because as soon as we turned in from the Gulf,
there were several pods of dolphins to meet us.

Shell Island, FL; May 1 - 4, 2012

First anchorage. The dark water was about 14 feet -
it quickly went to about 2 feet of white sand.

Wind-scoop directs the wind below deck.

The mizzen sail helps keep the boat directed into the wind.

Looked like sand and deep water.....but,

A quick trip in the dingy showed it to be turtle grass -
Not the place to anchor.

Snorkeling at Shell Island - Fun!
The water is clear and the sand is white.
Lots of shells to look at and tons of hermit crabs
and star fish.

Love these sand-pipers
I wondered what they were eating, so dug down in the sand.
Yucky teeny worms and itsy-bitsy crabs.

Lollygag - a perfect home.
