Looking east towards the Chesapeake Bay. The buoy is a shoal warning for 2 miles of shallow water. |
Traveled though narrow parts of the Chesapeake today where you could see land on both side. This side had tall and rugged looking cliffs |
The other side of the Bay had clusters of trees and some sandy beaches |
We saw several fishing boats pulling nets |
This is a busy fishing area. You have to be on the lookout for buoy's with flags. They are marking a fish net. |
Sometimes you have to alter your course to steer clear of the big ships. |
Looks like a small work barge, but we weren't sure. |
