Ocean City, NJ; May 21, 2011

We headed north from the southern tip of New Jersey today.
We chose to travel up the coast inside the barrier island's. The water is shallow and there are a lot of bridges, but we wanted to see it at least once.
First thing we did is lower both masts and pull up the bilge boards.
It was a very interesting day.
Looking across the water at the amusement park ferris wheel -
you could hear 'em screaming from here

Marshes were on the starboard side today in-between and surrounded by the towns

100's of laughing gulls filled the marshes - very funny

Between marshes and the towns, you would get to an inlet to the Atlantic Ocean
Winds and current would change

Going through the towns was like driving down water filled streets
Everyone just used boats instead of cars

Blocks of houses built on pilings - no solid ground to drive on

Saw this fisherman catch a fish

Fishermen in NJ were very friendly and curious about Lollygag
