This red brick and stone house is the original lock-master house built in 1936. It now serves as the office. |

You can see the lock-master turning the crank by hand to open the gate. There is a swing bridge just after this lock that has to be opened also. |
We are in a quiet anchorage surrounded by tall grass and marsh. |
