| Inside is loud - in a hole with a waterfall! Then it gets whisper quiet as the water comes up. |

| Zebra Mussels on the wall of the lock. They are a nuisance and the shells have to be cleaned out. One lock-master told us his lock was shut down and drained last winter. Three feet of shells covered the entire bottom. |
